Privacy Policy

ReelShelf ("we", "us") is a personal library app for tracking movies and TV series. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We keep data collection minimal.

Information we collect

• Account identifier. When you sign in with Apple, we receive a unique user identifier. If you choose to share it, an email relay address. We use this to create and sync your account.
• Your library content. The titles, watchlists, and feedback you save in the app, so your shelf syncs across your devices.
• Push notification token. If you enable notifications, we store your device's push token to deliver episode and release alerts. You can turn notifications off at any time in iOS Settings.
• Diagnostics. Crash reports, error and performance data (via Sentry) to fix bugs and keep the app stable. Reports are linked to your account identifier so we can investigate issues affecting your account.
• Usage analytics. Product-interaction events (via TelemetryDeck) linked to your user identifier, to understand which features are used. No advertising identifiers (IDFA) are collected.

How we use it

• Provide core app functionality and sync your library.
• Generate personalized recommendations from your saved titles.
• Diagnose crashes and improve reliability.
• Understand aggregate feature usage.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal data.
• We do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
• We do not collect your location, contacts, or device advertising identifier.

Third-party services

We rely on processors that handle data on our behalf: Supabase (authentication and database), Sentry (crash reporting), TelemetryDeck (privacy-first analytics), and Apple (Sign in with Apple). Title metadata and artwork are sourced from TMDB; this app uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. These providers process data only to deliver the app's functionality.

Payments

ReelShelf Pro subscriptions are purchased and billed through Apple's App Store. We never receive or store your payment details. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store subscription settings.

Data retention & deletion

We retain your account data while your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time directly in the app: Profile → Account → Delete Account. Deletion takes effect immediately and also revokes your Sign in with Apple authorization. Alternatively, email support@reelshelf.uk and we will delete it within 30 days.

Children

ReelShelf is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
